Chirstmas Show information and costumes

 

 

We are proud to announce our first Band Performance Trip to Washington DC!

We are still in the final stages of plans so please be patient as we finalize all of the reservations and itineraries, but I wanted to notify everyone so they can begin to save. Continue to check back with our blog for future updates.

 

When: November 18th - 20th

Who: Any 1st Semester Marching Band Member

(May later be opened to Colorguard depending on space) 

For your child's safety and the safety of other students currently parents are not permitted to travel with students on this trip only CCS certified teachers will be permitted to accompany students and  serve as chaperones.

How Much: $360  Thanks to the help from our band boosters we were able to make the trip very affordable for students

What is Included: All meals except one fast food on the way and one on the way back, hotel, sightseeing admissions, bus cost and possibly a trip t-shirt.  

Payment Plan: July, August, September, October $90 each 

payment plans can be arranged to fit your needs this is just a suggestion to help spread out payments. 

$180 deposit due by August 30th and all payments due by October 10th   

 

As stated before we are still finalizing details with the travel agents and performance locations this is just the initial information so you can begin to make saving plans. Washington D.C.  2016

Friday:             Depart Tabor City, NC at 6:00 AM for an approximate 7 hour trip

November 18  Lunch en route at own expense

                        Arrive Washington D.C. at approximately 1:00 PM and meet tour director

Smithsonian Museums South side of the Mall: Smithsonian Air and Space Museum, Smithsonian National Museum of the American Indian, Smithsonian Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden, Smithsonian African Art Museum

Dinner at Union Station followed by Evening guided tour of the Nation’s Capital:

                        Jefferson Memorial                 Iwo Jima                     Washington Monument

                        Capitol (outside only)              Kennedy Center          White House (outside only)

Hotel check-in

 Saturday:         Breakfast at hotel

November 19  Sightseeing:  Arlington National Cemetery, Ford’s Theatre,

     Petersen House with Hard Rock Café Area

Boxed Lunch from Carmine’s

Performance at a US Memorial (TBD) as scheduled by US Park Service

Sightseeing:  Vietnam Veteran’s Memorial, Lincoln Memorial, Korean War Monument, World War II Memorial, Franklin Roosevelt Memorial

Smithsonian Museums North side of the Mall: Smithsonian National Museum of American History, Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History and The National Gallery of Art

                        Dinner at Magill’s Pizza Buffet with DJ Dance Party

 Sunday:           Breakfast at hotel followed by check-out

November 20  National Zoo with Lunch

Final exploration time at the National Mall & Smithsonian Museums

Depart for home at 3:00 PM for an approximate 7 hour trip

                        Dinner en route at own expense

Arrive Tabor City, NC at approximately 10:00 PM

 

TRIP INCLUDES:   Roundtrip motorcoach transportation, driver rooms and gratuity

                                    2 nights hotel accommodations with interior corridors (quad occupancy)

                                    2 nights private hotel security

2 breakfasts, 2 lunches and 2 dinners
