We are in need of bottled water for the week and snacks and Gatorade for the competition on Saturday if anyone is able to donate. Send me a remind if you have any questions. Weekly quiz- Complete one 20 min practice session in the band room outside of class by Friday Schedule  Monday- Percussion Sectional till 4 (this counts as your 20 min quiz this week) Tuesday- Morning practice, Fair  parade, pizza and practice till 7 pm (please bring $3 for pizza) Wednesday- Quiz on Saturday attire. To receive a 100 you must bring in all items needed for Saturday, including marching shoes and socks. Welcome back! Great job Saturday thanks for coming out. Schedule this week Tuesday and Thursday morning practice 7 am Game Friday call time 5pm Saturday optional gocart Party     Location: broadway Grand Prix 1820 21st ave N, Myrtle Beach Time: 2 pm Cost: $22 before 2 pm for group rate, after 2pm regular price is $35 We will have a celebration at about 2:45 after that you are welcome to leave when you choose. Park closeds at 8 pm. Reminder no competition this Saturday the 6th  but we are using the rain date of Saturday the 20th.

Week 4 Saturday we will not be traveling to Pincrest but we will practice from 8 am - 12 pm at SCHS. If it is safe to do so please make every effort to attend if we have the majority of participants Saturday we will not have to have extra morning practices to make up for lost time.  Because the school is still a storm shelter we will be outside for this entire practice please plan accordingly. ****Calendar Change*** We will be using the Oct 20th competition date rain date to travel to a competition to replace Pinecrest. Saturday Oct 6th location change to Overhills High School Schedule coming soon.

Week 3  Band parent meeting Tuesday at 7pm in the band room Morning practice Tuesday and Thursday  Game Friday 5:30 black shirt kaki pants or shorts. Sections continue this week (percussion Monday afternoon) Please be getting needed clothing items for the show. Those will be needed in two weeks for a dress rehearsal. See week one post for full details on what you need. **Weather plan** If we have school we will have morning practic, even if it is raining we will go inside the gym. No school=no morning practice. Due to weather there is a strong chance for the game to be played earlier in the week or even next week please watch for  the reminds to stay informed. Also be on the look out for added practices next week due to lost time. We may be out of school a few days and will need to make up for lost time to be ready for the 29th. South Columbus High School  Marching Band Camp  It is time again to prepare for next year’s marching band season. In order for us have a successful and winning season we must take steps to help get our band get started early. We will be having our annual band camp on  June 12-15   from  5-8 pm   and  August 13-17  from 4 - 8 pm .  This camp is completely free and will be held in the SCHS band room. Students will need outdoor clothing, instruments and water for camp.  It is  very important  that students attend band camp, during this time we learn show music, football music and their position in this year field show.
